Pressure mapping indicated the benefits of using the WAFFLE Overlay to achieve that objective.The TruVue Lite Heel Protector Clinical Decision Tree helps healthcare providers select the correct heel protector solution based on patient needs.Vigorous research, IRB approval, and then review of 2,872 subjects retrospectively showed statistically and clinically significant improvement, in fact ten-fold improvement, in HAPI prevention for heels, Achilles, ankles and feet when the TruVue Heel Protector was utilized for complex ICU patients.After revising the standard of care, HAPIs in the posterior pelvic area decreased by 74% in 2021 and an additional 63% in 2022.
